Another evening of FUN today!
Met ah fat n songda on the train while on my way to Marina Bay for mass subcom steamboat gathering. Damn depressed, cos' the whole foodmin pang sei us, only I only person frm foodmin. Prog had the highest in attendance today. I was *Clap* unexpectedly punctual *Clap* again, so we waited for the rest to arrive at the station b4 we set off.
Wow! My first time. Dis was my first time havin steamboat in Marina South. Besides that, I've never been to dis area of Singapore since 10+ years ago. Mountain tortoise number one. Alas, I was NOT the only sua gu kia dere.. The place really is cool! We had no fans blowing in our faces, but I did not feel hot or perspire at all! Other than seafood, marinated meat, finger foods n' vegetables, they oso had cooked food like mee, rice, siew mais, satays, buns n three-layer-pork! $12 per person, eat to ur fill. Drinks were expensive, so we had to smuggle 1.5 bottles frm the nearby minishop. It was a very heartwarmin sight, cooking the food, distributin the food, "teamwork" arr... Not to forget the story of a prawn......
Once upon a time, a prawn was caught from the depths of the sea, and sold to XX Steamboat. However, a cruel fate awaited the prawn, as a group of humans sat on the table and fetched themselves a container of life prawns from the food area. Just as the prawn was retrieved from the container and brought to the piping hot piece of aluminium foil, it struggled violently, shaking it's tail and legs, as if to get itself out of this perilous situation. Such a strong and determined will to survive took the humans by surprise, and they were dumbfounded for a brief moment. This was until Larrina, whom decided to kill the prawn once and for all, and with the help of her assistants, Eric and Linda, whom pinned the prawn firmly to the hot stove with their chopsticks, pierced into the aga-aga position of the ailing prawn's heart, instantly sending it to meet its maker. However, the story did not end just yet. Bearing resemblance to the aftermath of the deceased prawn, Eric was in-charge of deshelling it, while Larrina whipped up her infamous Sambal Prawns. None of the ill-fated prawns lived to tell this spine-chilling stories, except for one, the only one who was spared from such misfortune.
After a hearty meal, half the grp left by bus, while the remaining suggested to go bowling. Bowling was "spectacular", namely because of the long-gangs, occasional strike, spares, n the sissy so called ah gua way to bowling, using to hand to roll out the bowling ball. I didn't bowl cos' my stupid feet condition still barred me frm wearin covered shoes even without socks. Their first game ended with a 2 points diference, wat a close call! Halfway thru' their 2nd game, I went to the games arcade n played KOFXI. Damn, the cheap final boss was tough n cheezy. Not bad, one token n I got to the final boss, Magaki.
Jason Tiang drove me n a few other home, while the Hougang people shared ride in a cab. Thanks Ah Tiang for being the one-year old still triangle-plate driver whom offered to send all of us back to home sweet home.
Gosh, I'm gg to work. Yeah, I'm happy abt it, even if it's juz for one day, 9-6. Was recommended this logistics delivery job by my fren, who happens to work at Burlington Square, that cool-lookin majestic building opp. Raffles Hospital. Eagerly anticipatin for Monday to come.
