A leader is a cut above the rest, in the sense that he rises up above all politics and favouritisms. A good leader is someone who drinks coffee n' goes to the movies with his friends, yet is able to differentiate friendship from responsibilities. He can hang out and joke around with his subordinates, but when it comes to appraisal, he is able to be impartial. There is no such thing as the chairperson is the good guy, while the vice-chairperson is a bad guy, or vise versa. THEY are either good or bad. The commitee should have a common objective to work towards, and not let previous bad blood jeopardise the success of the project. Remember the pressure a leader has to bear, it's not just one pair of eyes observing, multiple pairs of eyes are looking at you under the microscope as if u'r a biological specimen at one time. Keep the doors open, never ever burn the bridge. Fate has the prank nature to play tricks on us, we'r most likely to cross paths with people we hate to the core some point in our lives. The reality is harsh, learn it the hard way. Once you know your way around things , it's easy to play the game by the name of office politics. Lastly, if u can't beat them, join them. Turn urself from a sore-eye position to a blue-eye position. Make friends with the inner circle, instead of feeling helpless being not the apple of the eye.
Some people just let their emotions take the better of them. Some people are just not mature enough to think in the propects of long-term working relationships. Some people just don't know how to let go. Some people just don't know when to relax.
For me, I'm alrite, coz I know I hav my bloggie as my channel of venting frustrations n' displeasures.
