Just been back from SL Camp not long ago. Didn't wanted to go at first. For some reasons, I couldn't go to sleep until 4am on the previous night before Day 1, and I actually hadn't packed my camping gear, which was supposed to be done on monday. Could still remember how I dragged my reluctant feet to walk to the bus stop, which the journey seemed like an eternity. Because of my dilly-dally, I was almost an hour late for registration.
When I reached the Sports Complex, the participants were already in their groups playing icebreaker games. I was allocated to my group Pollux, in which I knew about 70% of the people there, familiar faces like qingcai, weisheng, yiling, eddie, made me less tensed. New acquaintances included, jun quan, leon, meiqi and liping.
After the icebreaker games, we were told to change into out red SL t-shirt to proceed to the LT for the Director's Dialogue. After that, we had our station games consisting of 10 stations. The games were fun and effective for team-building. We got wet as we played with water, but were lucky enough to have avoided the flour game, as time was a constraint, as well as the rainy weather. The water bag games, the pass water games, the mosster game, the pearl-spitting game and the some more which I cannot remember were enjoyable and all of us had fun.
At night after dinner, we had dance session where we learnt how to do the Biz Dance. This year, only main comms were around to teach the SLs, the programmers and the logs were not present. After which was the game of Cluedo, an ingenuous plot from one of our programmers. In actual fact, Eugene raped Joan, Anthony killed Eugene and then pulled Joan down with him when he jumped down the building. Most of the groups guessed it, however Naobe did the best analysis of the whole situation, as a result of their unrelenting spirit and perseverance. Kudos to them!~
Couldn't sleep at all in the sports complex, twisted and turned but could not go asleep. The speed 3 fan was blasing cold waves at me, while the mosquitoes were swarming at every opening. But then again, it's a camp after all, we are there to develop ourselves, not to sleep.
The next morning, Vince04 led us morning PT, which was some stretches and one round of jog along the school track. Following up was the Egg->Chick->Eagle->Immortal game. Damn, I evolved 2 times into an immortal, only to be defated by Roy of main comm twice!!~ In the end, I end up being an egg, and had to use my buTt to spell out "Synergy Leaders", malu ar, pai seh ar, embarassed ar...~
After PT was breakfast, after which was yet another dance session, followed by a cheer session, where we did the Business Medley. Then after lunch, we played Out-of-School game. We made an impact, as we were the the 2nd last group to leave, but took the shortest time to complete the game. Pollux Ke Ma Ma~~
Dinner ended, and we had to start finalizing for the performance night. After much discussions, we attempted to try the Jian4 Gui3 (see ghost) thingie. The traditional Night Walk, one of the highlights of many camps, was next after the entertaining performance night. We were told to walk around the School of Engineering, an unfamiliar location. Good or bad, we were arranged into groups of 4. It spoiled all the fun, I supposed.
Day 3, Scavenger Hunt. Alot of items, a total of 20+ items were deleted off the list, no questions asked. Nonetheless, we still managed to have fun in the remianing 70+ items. Crazy things we did, doing biz dance outside a coffee shop, the 69 position, asking 7-11 what time it closes, 15 butt cracks, moaning for the ducks at the duck rice stall, giving numbers to a stranger, asking a stanger to do a wedgie, show chest hair and use scotch tape to peel it out, just so that to earn points. After lunch was the Grand Finale of the SL Training Camp 2005---The Final Clash. Pollux got wiped out midway in the lollipop game, cos' we had the aid of ex main-comm eddy and programmer jeremy. But one thing to note, Andrew stayed pretty long in the ballon game, with a 2-on-1 disadvantage. Kudos to him!~
Overall, prize presentation:

Best SL.........Lee Tat Ming.
After break camp, quite a number of us went to the CPF bulding, a tradition for SLs and BSC after every camp. Two sides were playing games, the sub-comms were playing zhong1 ji2 mi4 ma3 (terminal code), while the few were playing the "tiu tiu tiu" ( transfer power ) game. The losers of both sides had to do forfeits of Dare. From hugging the Mr. Kentucky, running with the top down, licking the toes, squeezing the nipples with the toes, anything you name, they did it. Onlookers were puzzled, the KFC staff were interested, the KFC customers were surprised.
Once again, I never regret joining this camp. Thankfully, I attended this camp, as I witnessed many many things. Many many things to learn from. This camp gave me some opportunity to talk to weisheng. Don't know if I got closer anot, but I think the unfamiliarity was gone. I guess many people were envious of Sean during the dancing segment after final clash, coz' he had such "good" treatment. Maybe the only thing I missed was......for you to find out?!~
