Is it appropriate of us to think of where to countdown, how to celebrate new year, how to party and have fun, when there are people not far away from us, who lack food, shelter, security??
According to news reports, affected countries and locations have other concerns other than the lucky-to-have-survived-death victims. There maybe an epidemic outbreak of contagious diseases, due to the corpses of strangers scattered all over the shore.
Since yesterday morning, a number of volunteers have been flocking to singapore Press Holdings to donate canned foods, clothings, blankets. Samanitarians have also donated anonymous cheques to help the needy.
Therefore, we should count our blessings. We are very lucky, or should I say, fUcking daMn luCKy to have geography shield us from such a catastrophic disaster. We are very very very fortunate to be able to witness the 1ST sunrise of 2005.
