TIME FLIES... in a twinkling of an eye...... hEy! doesn't dis sound lyk de beginnin of a pri-sch compo?

SO long havn't blogged, yet so mUcH to say......dunnoe where to begin. hMMmmm......it all goes back to 8th Nov, a.k.a Fun Camp Day 1.

HAD to work on de night before, reached home quite late, so only slept a wink b4 I head for sch in de morning. I guess it must hav been de breakfast, as moi stomache started to ache halfway thru' de bus ride to TP. Was supposed to meet my Food Comm head n' fellow food comm members for meeting, but no choice had to chiong for 4th floor toilet cuz' de pain was unbearable. So end up 9:30am den reach SU lounge.

I was very happy to be a food comm member during the fun camp. Luckily, I nva told moi family I inside food comm, cuz it would be ridiculous for someone who can't cook to be in charge of food, a.k.a. nutrition. I m someone hu cannot even fry eggs, cook maggie mee. I even managed to somehow overfry de frozen prata in de frying pan. May de heavens bless me so tt I may be able to cook someday.

SERIOUSLY, I think Eric is a fun to work with. As a year 1, he shows independence n' good charisma. People r glad to be working with him. I wouldn't say working under him, cuz he treats us as his equals, n' doesn't order or command us to do our work. An interesting thing abt Eric would be when u call him on his hp, n' u'll hear tt male opera singin thingie. So it's always a joy to call him on his hp. One thing tt surprised me was his heart of GOLD. I remember de 2nd morning of Fun Camp when he saw the elderly cleaner auntie dusting off the SU lounge. He greeted her politely n' asked her "ni hao ma"? Another kind deed was tt he had de idea of givin our eXtra food to welfare homes. De unfinished/untouched vegetarian breakfast on de 3rd day of fun camp was carried to de lorry n' transported to a nearby welfare home.

IT'S not easy being in de food comm. As it was de puasa fasting month, some of us had to get up as early as 4:30am to get breakfast for de muslims. Bcuz we ended our debrief quite late ard 3:15am, a few of us only managed to sleep for lyk 1 hour b4 de day begins. I still remember I woke up at 4:45am to go up to de lounge, to find the programme awake as they rushed thru' de night making de map for de orienteering. AGHHHHH!!!~ Eric was still asleep, n' it was only half an hour b4 fasting starts, n' de muslims, both de main comms n' participants havn't had their food. Luckily, Fuad took de iniative to buy food back frm 7-11. After which, I accompanied Eric to goto Biz sch concourse lvl to collect hot water for de Milo. Frm 6am until 7am, I was dere, at de machine with Eric, collecting hot water. Oh my, the benched dere were so relaxing n' comfy tt I actually fell asleep. I'm very sure I fell asleep cuz my face felt itchy as the hungry mosquitoes were feasting on moi blood as I was in dreamland. I was unconscious for tt 15-20 minutes, n' de mosquitoes seezed de GOLDEN opportunity. Even so, I was still very tired. I kept dozing off while waiting for de participants to come to de canteen after their morning exercise. The only time of de day for de food comm to rest n' catch up on sleep would be in de afternoon, we had ard 2-3 hours of free time, b4 we bring reps frm each empire to PRIME to buy their stuff for own-cooked dinner. To other food comm peeps, de meeting room is a place where they sleep, play, chat, hav fun. To me, it's only a place where I can put moi belongings. WHy?? De reason is simple......I hardly mixed with them, no strength n' energy to do so, if not, den cannot be bothered. Thinking back, I thought work is work. So no matter, however I hate or lyk tt soMeoNe, I would juz do my job. gong1 shi4 gong1 ban4, understand?

CONTRARY to wad soMeoNe said abt de fun camp being BORING, I think it's full of treasured memories. Not afraid to say, I was moved to tears when de fun camp participants performed de rain dance for all de main comms n' sub comms. At that very moment, I could really sense their gratitude n' appreciation of our efforts.Dere r so many other memories tt I would never forget, lyk de fuji apples story, n' our trips to PRIME supermarket. Maybe having said all this, de REAL reason I enjoyed being a food comm member was bcuz of soMeoNe. Cheerz to de new fren I made during fun camp, Eric Lai Yong Ming !~!
